Mandatory Enrollment Notices
For health plan renewals on or after September 23, 2010, plan administrators are required to provide their employees with the following notices informing them of the plan and enrollment changes mandated by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

Beginning with the 2012 tax year, Health Care Reform requires employers to calculate and report the aggregate cost of employer-sponsored health insurance coverage on employees' W2s.

Plans that provided coverage on or prior to March 23, 2010, are grandfathered. The law allows grandfathered plans to continue their normal operations without losing their grandfathered status.

Small Business Tax Credit
As part of the Health Care Reform, a tax credit for small groups was designed to encourage small employers to offer health insurance coverage for the first time or maintain coverage they already have.
